Hey, I'm Nick

I’m a problem solver, simple as that. I love taking ideas from inception, to shipping innovative products that customer love and that have a tangible impact on the world.  On most days, this means spending my time translating ambiguous things into clear structured plans that enable teams to learn and drive business impact.  As a product leader, I believe strong product vision, storytelling and engaging customer experiences is what builds great products and that takes equal parts art and science.  I'm forever curious and enjoy getting inside customer's minds to learn the why behind their words. I get energy building high performance teams and helping them find success through strong communication, radical candor and coaching. I will always be an Engineer at heart.

I currently work at Shopify, where we help make commerce better for everyone and unlock the next generation of entrepreneurs. My focus is on building a world-class customer accounts product that saves time for merchants and builds better relationships with their buyers. Prior to Shopify, I’ve spent most of my time at high-growth startups focussed on building SaaS products in Telecom, Technology, Media, Retail and Commerce sectors. The last few startups I’ve worked at were focussed on using bleeding edge AI/ML technology to solve complex problems. I’ve also spent some time as a Management Consultant, driving product vision and direction for large Fortune 500 companies.

In my spare time, I'm the Founder & CEO of Joshua and Clark, a premium wallet ecommerce brand. I'm a dad who loves to play basketball, guitar and video games, but also dabble in DJing 90s hip hop and grunge.
